Shiroi Koibito Park
Shiroi Koibito is a well-known brand of sweets in Hokkaido. At Shiroi Koibito Park, you can tour the production line, learn the history of chocolate from the display, and create your own Shiroi Koibito snack.
The park is beautifully decorated and has a European fairy-tale vibe.
You can see how Shiroi Koibito cookies are made, and walking around isn’t too tiring.
It’s also very convenient for picking up souvenirs.
A nice spot to add to your itinerary.
Noodles & Shaved Ice: Dogyan
A unique spot near Tanimachi 4-chome Station in Osaka where you can enjoy the unusual pairing of ramen and shaved ice in one visit. The clean, white-themed interior feels calm and welcoming, even for solo female diners. With around 24 seats and plenty of space, you can take your time and savor both a meal and dessert.
So special! Their noodles are seriously delicious. The place is clean with a bit of an artsy vibe, and the service is awesome too. Highly recommend!
Botchan Ressha Train
Botchan Ressha is a train replica designed after the steam locomotives that operated for 67 years after the opening of Iyotetsu (Iyo Railways) in 1888. The name, “Botchan” is named after a train used by the protagonist in Natsume Soseki’s novel of the same name. The title “Ressha” (meaning train) was added for an extra friendly flair.
I recommend getting the combo ticket: one ride on the Botchan Ressha, round-trip on the Matsuyama Castle ropeway, entry to the castle tower, and the Ninomaru historical site. It's just 1,700 JPY, which is a great deal! The Botchan Ressha is super popular and tickets often sell out. There are only 8 to 10 runs a day.
Tama Center Illumination
An illumination event that is held in front of Tama Center Station in the town where you can see Hello Kitty.
The place is covered with all kinds of shiny, colorful lights. The plaza was packed with people, and it really felt like Christmas.
Setoda Sunset Beach
Setoda Sunset Beach is an 800-meter long beach recognized as one of Japanese 88 Swimming Beaches. Home to beautiful white sands and plenty of space for watersports, this beach waterfront is true to its name, offering up beautiful views of the sun as it sets of the Seto Inland Sea. There’s also camping, sea-kayaking, SUP boats and more for activity-lovers to enjoy.
I came here with some fellow cycling enthusiasts to take on the Shimanami Kaido. The sunset glow here was absolutely stunning.
