Tama Center Illumination
Tokyo・An illumination in the town where you can see Hello Kitty!
An illumination event that is held in front of Tama Center Station in the town where you can see Hello Kitty. Around 400,000 bulbs will be lit around the wide pedestrian paths, spanning 400 meters from south to north and 200 meters from east to west. The town will be lit up with sights such as the “Aquarium of Light” giving the impression one is walking through the ocean, and illuminations of popular Sanrio characters like Hello Kitty.
This year, the video of the annual “Town Where You Can Meet Hello Kitty Illumination Special Parade” will be broadcast, to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Hello Kitty will introduce you to the illuminated Tama Center while taking a walk!
The tree illuminated in the center is a real momi fir.
Also near Tama Center Station is the Sanrio theme park, “Sanrio Puroland”, featuring characters like Hello Kitty.
You can enjoy the glamorous illumination for free.
