Numazu Deep Sea Aquarium Coelacanth Museum
It is a rare aquarium in the world specializing in deep-sea species, located near Numazu Port, about 15 minutes by bus from JR Numazu Station. As may be expected of being expert, it has the largest number of deep-sea species exhibitions in Japan.
Beautiful aquarium! The colors of the plants and animals are so vibrant, and the lighting is fantastic.
Chiba Zoological Park
A total of 769 animals (as of the end of January 2021) of about 123 species, including mammals, birds, and fish, are kept and exhibited here. The animals are divided into various zones such as the Monkey Zone, Small Animal Zone, and Birds and Water System Zone.
There are so many different kinds of animals here. The staff and keepers are super friendly. It's a great place for families!
Nagoya Castle
One of the largest castles in Japan, built in the early Edo period on the orders of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Edo shogunate, the five-story castle tower is topped with shining two Kinshachi, one male and one female that has become a symbol of Nagoya.
The exterior renovations and color scheme really surprised me. It looks amazing and is definitely worth a visit.
Aqua World Ibaraki Oarai Aquarium
One of Japan’s best aquariums, Aqua World Ibaraki Oarai is home to over 580 different varieties of salt-water and fresh-water sea life. Just as its iconic shark symbol may hint, this aquarium is held as the nation’s best place to find the most varieties of sharks. For an extra thrill, you can also visit Japan’s biggest tank dedicated to ocean sunfish here, displaying a number of different varieties of this rare fish.
Even though there were a lot of people inside, the place is so spacious that you don't have to worry about it feeling crowded.
