Koza Gate Street
Serving as the gateway to Kadena Air Base, Okinawa’s main street is located here at the Koza Gate Street. It is filled with various shops owned by foreigners, doing business for foreigners. This area was developed after the end of World War 2 following the establishment of the US Army base in Japan. Its original name was “Airport Street”.
There are lots of restaurants and unique little international eateries here. It's really appealing.
Okinawa World
This theme park condenses the charms of Okinawa and is very popular among tourists from both inside and outside Japan. The largest limestone cave in Okinawa, Gyokusendo Cave, was created over 300,000 years ago, and it's more than one million stalactites reaffirm the mystery and grandeur of nature.
Okinawa World has three main attractions: Gyokusendo Cave, the Folk Village, and the Habu Museum. The taiko drum performance is my top recommendation—definitely worth checking out.
Ueno Park
Ueno Park, officially known as "Ueno Onshi Park," is located in Taito Ward, Tokyo. Managed by the Tokyo Metropolitan Construction Bureau, the park spans an impressive area of 530,000 square meters and has a rich history.
This famous park is super convenient to get to and really great.
AKOMEYA TOKYO NEWoMan Shinjuku
This unique store is a fusion of a rice specialty store and lifestyle shop, and it’s somewhere you can find wonderful products to help enrich your daily life. It is based around the idea of shopping for rice, the cornerstone of Japanese meals, and at the same time enriching your daily life, which begins with food.
I really like their tableware—simple yet stylish. Just having them on the table makes me feel so classy.
Pâtisserie Ginza Sembikiya
Ginza Sembikiya is a long-standing fruits specialty store founded in 1894. Pâtisserie Ginza Sembikiya is a sweets specialty store that continues its predecessor’s traditions, making the most of each fruit’s characteristics so customers can easily enjoy the potentials of new fruits.
This long-standing shop has been around since the Meiji era. They use only top-quality, fresh fruits for their desserts. The colors are so vibrant and everything looks so beautiful, I almost don't want to eat them!
Oosumi Tamaya TOKYO GIFT PALETTE Shop
Oosumi Tamaya is the original creator of ichigo daifuku, where a large strawberry is put inside of daifuku. In 1987, he was awarded for the hit of ichigo-mame daifuku, receiving an honorable mention award from the Japan confectionery association Towakai.
The strawberry daifuku is a timeless favorite, and the grape daifuku that's only available in autumn is awesome too!
[Closed Down] MEISTER Cheese
This Italian-style cheese sweets specialty shop is run by Grapestone Co. Ltd., which has produced many popular products, including “Tokyo Banana,” “Nenrinya,” and “Sugar Butter Tree.”

Souun Yokan Honpo
“Souun Yokan Honpo” is a long-established wagashi (Japanese sweets) shop in Ashikaga. The “Souun” in its name is said to come from Tazaki Souun, a painter with ties to Ashikaga who was active from the end of the Edo period (1853-1868) until the Meiji era (1868-1912).
This is a famous local shop in Ashikaga with a really long history. Their yokan is the signature item.
