Ibe Townscape
A town famous as a production area for Bizen ware, counted among Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns. Around JR Ibe Station, traditional kilns, workshops, and galleries lined with pottery pieces are clustered together, making it fun to stroll around the town.
Overall, it was a pretty nice place. The environment is comfortable, the pace feels relaxed, and it’s nice to wander around without feeling rushed. It’s not the kind of spot that makes you go wow right away, but the more closely you look, the more charm it has.
It doesn’t get overwhelmingly crowded, so it’s just right for photos and a walk. A great place to fit into the middle of an itinerary as a relaxing break.
