Esashi-Fujiwara Heritage Park
This theme park was created on the birthplace of Oshu-Fujiwara Clan’s first Lord, Kiyohira. On the 20 ha-(49 acres) premises, you can time-slip into the Heian Period and experience the era through watching, playing, eating and buying to learn about Oshu-Fujiwara Clan’s history and culture.
The snowy scenery here is absolutely gorgeous. The staff were really friendly and welcoming when they heard we were visiting from Taiwan.
Okada Museum of Art
The museum opened in 2013 in the Kowakudani hot spring area. It was built on the site of the former Kaikatei, a hotel built for Westerners in the Meiji era, and boasts a total of five floors with an area of about 5,000㎡, making it the largest museum in Hakone.
I enjoyed a relaxing time, sipping coffee while taking in the garden view.
Hakone Kowakien YUNESSUN
YUNESSUN is a hot springs theme park located in Hakone, the popular hot springs destination in Japan. The park is divided into two areas, the traditional hot springs baths at Mori no Yu and the Yunessun area for you to enjoy in your swimwear.
If you visit in winter, you can soak for even longer.
Tempura Kondo
“I’d like to deliver the true taste of tempura to our customers” is the chef of Tempura Kondo’s desire to pursue the masterpieces of tempura. The restaurant has attracted Ginza’s foodies with its light texture of tempura made with a perfectly prepared batter. According to the head chef Fumio Kondo, tempura is not only a deep-fried dish but also a steamed dish, because the heat and moisture bring out the deep flavor of the ingredients. Even after the tempura is removed from the hot oil, the residual heat continues to steam the ingredients inside to maximize their distinctive flavor. After all, the skills to measure the time of residual heat is also required.
This Michelin two-star restaurant in Ginza attracts food lovers from all over the world. Needless to say, the food is fantastic.
