Kumano Nachi Taisha is a spiritual origin spot. This magnificent shrine—if you start from the torii gate and head to the right, you'll find the main hall with a truly solemn atmosphere.

Nachi Waterfall is truly impressive—you can really feel its grandeur. The nearby shrine adds a sense of solemnity and peace. At the entrance to the falls is Hiro Shrine, and there's an observation deck inside that requires a small fee, but I think it's totally worth it. The view is fantastic and perfect for photos!

Abashiri Prison Museum—this used to be the toughest prison to escape from in Japan. Now it's an educational and fun museum. Definitely worth a visit!

Hakuba Iwatake Ski Resort's highest elevation is 1,289 meters, which is a bit lower compared to other places in Hakuba, but the snow is super soft and powdery. Since it's not so high up, there are lots of sunny days ☀️. This is the place to go! 😆
