Hakone Sightseeing Cruise

A sightseeing ship that operates on Lake Ashinoko, a scenic spot in Hakone. The three ships, Royale II, Victory, and Queen Ashinoko, are characterized by their colorful and luxurious decorations. Each of them has a capacity of about 500 passengers and takes 25 to 35 minutes each way between Togendai Port, Hakone-machi Port, and Moto-Hakone Port. On a sunny day, the open deck is a great place to enjoy the scenery. Enjoy the pleasant breeze and the seasonal views of nature and mountains.

Takumishuku Traditional Hand Craft Arts Center

A facility where visitors can experience the traditional crafts for which Shizuoka City is famous reopened in May 2021. The experience is divided into three workshops: "Bamboo and Dyeing Workshop," "Wood and Lacquer Workshop," and "Fire and Earth Workshop," with a variety of experience plans available. At the "Bamboo and Dyeing Workshop", visitors can try their hand at Suruga Take Sensujizaiku, indigo dyeing, and tea dyeing; at the "Wood and Lacquer Workshop", woodwork and lacquer; and at the "Fire and Clay Workshop", visitors can try their hand at pottery making using an electric potter's wheel and other tools. Walter Weston, a British Anglican missionary praised Kamikochi in his writing “Mountaineering and Exploration in the Japan Alps” in 1896 which made Kamikochi an internationally well-known mountain area.

Kobe Animal Kingdom

This is an all-weather zoo and botanical garden with the theme of interaction. In the park, which realistically reproduces natural scenery, visitors can get up close and personal with animals that live in a near free-range environment. Kumano Kodo Path

Kumano Kodo is the path leading to the three Kumano Mountains (Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine, Kumano Hayatama Taisha, Kumano Nachi Taisha and Mt. Nachisan Seiganto Temple). While Kumano faith was rising, noble families used this path to come to Kumano, which was later spread to the general public.

Sandanbeki Rock Cliff

Sandanbeki is a 2-km long craggy rock cliff that towers 50 meters above the sea. In the past, fishermen would call this place “midan”, a lookout point for passing ships and schools of fish, but the point has gradually become known as “Sandanbeki” over time. The rockface is pummeled by the Kuroshio Current, creating for a view that’s bound to impress you.
