The sunshine on the slopes instantly took me back to our time skiing at Naeba. It was our family’s first time there~
The weather that day couldn’t have been better. Clear blue skies and warm sunshine made the whole resort sparkle, and it put me in such a great mood. The snow quality at Naeba is really nice. Even though the sunny weather made the snow feel a little softer during the day, it was still pretty fluffy and easy to control on the board. It felt super comfortable whether you’re a beginner wanting to practice steadily or an experienced skier just looking for a smooth ride down.
We’ll definitely be coming back next time!

Kagura Ski Resort
Located in Yuzawa, Minamiuonuma District, Niigata Prefecture, Kagura Ski Resort is a vast resort divided into three areas: Kagura, Mitsumata, and Tashiro. It offers runs up to 6,000 meters long, with a total of 30 courses. The resort is known for its abundant snowfall, with an average snow depth of around 350 cm throughout the season.
There’s so much snow here—it’s that super soft, fluffy powder where even falling doesn’t hurt. And when you ride, your board kicks up this fine mist of snow behind you. So satisfying!
Highly recommend this ski resort. I’ll definitely be back to enjoy Kagura to the fullest! -
