The Otaru Canal in late February—absolutely beautiful 💕 Great for photos. This time I only explored Otaru during the day. Although it's very close to Sapporo, staying overnight in Otaru would definitely offer a different kind of beauty and a chance to get to know the city better.

Ningle Terrace
Located just a 2-minute walk from the "Shin Furano Prince Hotel" in Furano City, Hokkaido, this shopping area is nestled among the trees. "Ningle" refers to the 15cm tall "forest wisdom keepers" who live in the forests of Hokkaido, as featured in playwright So Kuramoto's play "Ningle." The enchanting forest, reminiscent of a fairy tale, houses 15 log cabins selling crafts inspired by nature.
Ningle Terrace in Furano is really beautiful in winter 😍, and it's easy to get to when traveling independently. There's also a limited-time "Furano Kan Kan Mura" next to Ningle Terrace, which is a lot of fun, with snow banana boats, snowmobiles, and dog sledding. It really makes you want to stay longer 🥰
