Naeba is well suited for people who can already control their speed and make consistent turns. Many of the groomed runs are wide enough for relaxed long-radius turns, with plenty of room to practice carving. For intermediate skiers, it’s less likely to feel like you’ve run out of things to ski after one day.
The main issue is that beginners, ski schools, and other skiers all gather right in front of the hotel, so when it’s crowded, there can be big differences in speed. People carving at high speeds actually need to be especially careful of beginners suddenly changing direction. Visitor ratings of Naeba’s crowd levels are also relatively average.
