When I stay at hotels in Japan, I usually don't book breakfast. I prefer going to LAWSON in the morning and choosing for myself—an onigiri today, a sandwich tomorrow, plus a cup of MACHI café. I can have a different combination every day. It's simple and doesn't get old easily.

SATUDORA Tanukikoji 5-chome Store is located on Tanukikoji 5-chome, part of Sapporo's famous covered shopping arcade in the heart of the city. Surrounded by hotels and popular restaurants serving Hokkaido specialties such as ramen and soup curry, it's a convenient stop for international travelers. The lively Susukino district is also just around the corner, making it easy to drop by before or after a meal.
There are so many drugstores around Tanukikoji that you'll see one every few steps. It's a great area to browse at your own pace and compare prices. SATUDORA is one of the easier stores to shop at, with a spacious interior and a wide selection of medicines, beauty products, daily necessities, and Hokkaido souvenirs. There's no need to buy everything at the first store you visit. Drugstores are packed closely together nearby, so you can browse around and compare prices before deciding. It makes shopping feel more like hunting for treasures.

Nishitetsu Grand Hotel
Nishitetsu Grand Hotel has been representing Fukuoka City since its foundation in 1969. It is located on the corner of Meiji dori and Tenjin Nishi dori, very close to the Tenjin subway station. A door man welcomes guests at the entrance and the hotel has a sophisticated and dignified atmosphere.
This time I stayed at the Nishitetsu Grand Hotel in Tenjin, and the location was really convenient! The Tenjin shopping district is right outside, with department stores, drugstores, convenience stores, and restaurants all nearby, so there was no need to worry about finding somewhere to shop or get a late-night snack.
Although the hotel has been open for quite some time, it is very well maintained. The lobby has the refined feel of a long-established hotel, and the staff were very friendly. The room was a little more spacious than a typical Japanese business hotel, and it didn't feel too cramped even with two large suitcases open. Overall, it was quite comfortable.

Fukui City Art Museum [Art Lab Fukui]
A municipal art museum in Fukui City. Guided by the concept of bringing “viewing” and “creating” together, it is a popular place for both appreciating and making art. The museum primarily collects and displays works by Hiroatsu Takata, a sculptor with ties to Fukui City. It also holds diverse special exhibitions inspired by his wide circle of friends, offering visitors exposure to a variety of artistic expression.
As soon as I walked into the museum, I noticed how well lit it was. Natural light poured in through the large glass windows, making the whole space feel very comfortable. It didn’t feel cramped or oppressive inside, so I felt relaxed while viewing the exhibits. I really liked this kind of design.
