The main attraction at Kinomiya Shrine is the sacred tree, which is truly spectacular. It's also fairly easy to get to. The grounds aren't very large, but they don't feel empty either. If you have time, you can enjoy a dessert at a leisurely pace or try the paid seating area. I mainly came for the wooden goshuin, which has a distinctive wood fragrance. I also got to see a trained monkey performance this time, though it was a little disappointing that photography wasn't allowed. I highly recommend stopping by when visiting Atami.

Mt. Omuro
Omuro Mountain, an independent peak with an altitude of 580m, is located in Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture. This volcano, which looks like an overturned bowl, is a beloved symbol of the Izu Plateau. Formed by volcanic activity about 4000 years ago, Omuro Mountain is a nationally designated natural monument and the largest scoria cone in the eastern Izu Volcanic Group.
A very unique geological landscape, with a different view in every direction. The weather wasn't very good on the day I arrived, but fortunately, visibility was still decent. The only disappointment was that Mount Fuji wasn't very clear, and I also didn't see its white cap in September. If you're driving, you can combine this with a visit to the nearby zoo, but I didn't go because of my itinerary.
