My first proper visit to Ishigakijima, I loved it, we were fortunate enough to have really hot weather that entire time. We hired a car and took advantage of this site's recommendations so for 2 full days we crossed the island enjoying the magnificent blue sky and crystal-clear waters. The lifestyle here is very slow and laid back, no-one rushes around here, I got to eat lots of sashimi, which was of the highest grade and we bought from the supermarket, we also shopped at a local farmers market and bought pineapple, guava and hot chilies. So if you're unsure if you should visit Ishigaki or not let me assure you of a good time and probably some well-deserved rest.
