Located on the shores of the iconic Katsurahama Beach in Kochi Prefecture, this aquarium offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Popular among all age groups, it provides numerous interactive feeding experiences, allowing visitors to observe and learn about marine life up close, engaging all the senses.
Katsurahama Aquarium isn't very big, but it's super cute and really soothing. The animals are all really friendly, and the shows are adorable—they'll definitely put you in a good mood. Overall, it's a small but really pleasant aquarium to walk around. Plus, it's awesome to take a stroll on the nearby beach while you're there.

Miyoshi Hondori Shopping Street
Miyoshi Hondori Shopping Street, located in Miyoshi-cho, Miyoshi City, is a charming historic street lined with old merchant houses featuring decorative udatsu walls and a stone-paved road. Situated in an area surrounded by the Gonokawa, Basengawa, and Saijogawa rivers, it is considered one of the oldest shopping streets in Miyoshi City.
The shopping street isn’t very big, but it has so much local character. A lot of the shops feel really nostalgic, like stepping back into the Showa era.

Tokamachi Snow Festival
Held every mid-February in Tokamachi City, Niigata Prefecture, this is one of the largest snow festivals in the region, first launched in 1950 under the theme “Be friends with snow, enjoy the snow.”
The whole city gets wrapped in snow, and there are these insanely impressive snow sculptures and light displays everywhere. At night, when everything lights up, it feels super romantic. You can stroll through the market, try local snacks, sip on hot drinks, and catch performances as you walk around—there's never a dull moment. Overall, it's really chill, dreamy, and perfect for taking photos.
