First time visiting Seiseki Sakuragaoka.
The area around the station is lively, and the department store is super stylish and fun to explore.
There's even a Mikasa Kaikan teppanyaki on the top floor, but unfortunately, you need to book in advance.

Onigajo
A scenic spot designated as a National Natural Monument and also registered as a World Heritage Site. Massive rock walls, shaped by natural phenomena over tens of thousands of years including seismic uplift, weathering, and wave erosion, stretch for Approx. 1.2 km, and their overwhelming scale is sure to impress everyone. A promenade has been developed along the rock walls, allowing visitors to admire the scattered caves and unusual rock formations up close.
Getting there is fairly convenient. It’s about a five-minute bus ride from the station, and overall the trip was pretty smooth.

Hotel Green Plaza Hamanako
Set along the calm shores of Lake Hamana, this resort hotel is renowned for its beautiful views. Guests can enjoy sweeping lake vistas not only from their rooms, but also from the open-air baths and restaurant. The scenic open-air bath offers a relaxing soak while gazing out over the tranquil lake. The hot spring is a sodium-calcium chloride spring, slightly salty in nature, known for retaining warmth and being gentle on the skin.
The lake view is really nice. The scenery of Lake Hamana from the room is super relaxing and soothing.

Kifune Shrine
Located along the Kibune River at the foot of Mt. Kibune in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City, the shrine is the head shrine of about 2,000 water god shrines in Japan, and enshrines the deity Taka-okamino-kami, who controls water. The exact date of establishment is unknown, but there is a record of the rebuilding of the shrine in the 6th year of Hakuho (677), during the reign of Emperor Temmu, making it one of the oldest shrines in Japan with a history of over 1,300 years.
This is a really special place. Walking inside, I felt so refreshed in both body and mind. It's an amazing spot with great energy.
