Tips on Mountain Huts: A List of the Mountain Huts on the Yoshida Trail

Mount Fuji is dotted with mountain huts in varying sizes, which provide accommodations for climbers in harsh natural environment. Unlike hotels, mountain huts offer only bare minimum of food and bedding. In peak periods, mountain huts are very cramped, and it is never rare for two people to sleep on a place normally arranged for one person. Inconvenient as it is, it draws the two closer.

A List of the Mountain Huts on the Yoshida Trail

Considering there are 20-odd mountain huts on the Yoshida trail, you are advised to make reservations. If you have many companions, you must reserve beds in advance. Mountain huts normally offer bentos for breakfast and simple meals for supper such as curry rice. In case that there are too many guests, they have to eat meals in turn. Climbers flock to watch sunrise, so the higher a mountain hut is, more popular and crowded it is.
