I was excited to visit this ramen shop that had been generating a lot of buzz since it opened in August 2015. The place is always packed—and with good reason! The owner puts his background in French cuisine to good use, offering a unique take on traditional ramen.

First, I purchased my meal tickets from the vending machine.

The foamy thermo-whipped soup is delectable. Toppings include rare chashu and green and yellow onions.

But back to the soup for a moment. It’s truly like nothing you’ve you ever tasted before! It’s light, fluffy, creamy, and mousse-like, with the mouthwatering umami of chicken.

And the straight, chewy noodles were the perfect choice. As you slurp them up, pieces of sweet, diced onions get tangled in as well, creating a wonderful balance of flavours in your mouth.

The rare chashu packs a flavourful punch, too! Soft, juicy, and thick—perfection!

Even the half size portion should have no problem filling you up!
Roast pork, basil infused sauce, need I say more? The flavour was to die for! And it blended into the rice below harmoniously.
It's hard to beat the satisfaction that comes from eating a delicious meal at an affordable price. Both my stomach and my wallet left happy. I certainly wasn’t the only one to have such a great experience either; the shop fills up with customers momentarily after opening. Excellent food. Excellent staff. I highly recommend Kazura!
