2026-2027 Guide to Enjoying Yomiuriland Jewellumination

One of Yomiuriland's advantages is its convenient location, approximately 35 minutes from Shinjuku by train.
The park is accessible via either the Keio Line or the Odakyu Line.
Below are directions from Shinjuku to Yomiuriland using each line.

The first highlight is Jewelry Grand Objet, the illuminated Sky-Go-LAND Ferris wheel.
The east side shines in 14 jewelry colors inspired by the brilliant cut of a diamond, while the upper half of the west side glows gold and the lower half is elegantly illuminated in pink.
Its gemlike brilliance and lighting displays evoking abundance and romance have made it a symbol of Jewellumination.

Jewelry Promenade is a 590-foot-long tree-lined path sparkling with illuminations.
The trees glow with beautiful gradients of color from their bases to the tips of their branches, creating a dreamlike atmosphere enveloped in colorful light.
This season, diamond colors have also been added to the shrubs, giving the entire promenade an even more refined appearance. Colored uplights now add a vivid glow around visitors' feet.
With Jewelry Grand Objet rising in the background, the promenade offers a striking view with a sense of depth and is also a popular photo spot. Lighting effects synchronized with music are presented as well, making this a great place to record a memorable video.

This tunnel of light, extending approximately 460 feet, is a signature Jewellumination attraction.
Gemstone crystal motifs stretch along the tunnel like growing vines, combining with rich color gradients to create the world of "Growing Light."
Music and light come together as the glow changes with every step, creating the sensation of being drawn deeper into the tunnel.
It is also a popular photo spot, so consider taking a memorable picture with someone special.

Giant Sky River is a massive waterslide where riders travel by boat along a 1,266-foot course from a height of 80.4 feet.
During Jewellumination, it is decorated with lights and transformed into a huge glowing tower.
For the 2026-2027 season, the course is illuminated in plant-inspired green. Jewelry Spiral, resembling a massive sculptural installation, stands out against the night sky in fresh, vibrant colors.

An installation representing "Growing Light," the subtheme of the 2026-2027 season, appears at the center of the lazy river.
The surrounding large-scale illuminations and music come together as shimmering reflections ripple across the water, transforming the entire nighttime pool into a space filled with vitality.

Follow the path along the lazy river to reach Grand Sanctuary.
Wai Wai Jungle, the athletic play area at Pool WAI, is adorned with interwoven layers of various jewelry colors, powerfully expressing the beauty of different forms of love coexisting.
This season, visitors can walk through the installation, offering a new experience of being surrounded by light and opportunities to take photos from closer than ever before.

The spectacular production features 226 fountains, images projected onto a giant 49-foot-high ring-shaped water screen, lasers, and flames.
This fountain show is popular every year and is well worth seeing at least once.

Based on this season's subtheme, "Growing Light," this dynamic production combines water, light, and sound to symbolically express the vitality of light as it grows.
Light reflects and sparkles on the spray, creating a different appearance depending on the viewing angle.

This stage show features dancers performing to dynamic lighting and music.
Making effective use of shadows created by the lights, the powerful show is presented only twice a day.
There are fewer opportunities to see it than the other programs, so be sure to check the schedule.

In addition to Sky-Go-LAND, introduced earlier in this article, visitors can view the illuminations while riding a variety of attractions. On Merry-Go-Land Dog, watch the lights slowly pass by while gently swaying with the ride.
Wan Wan Coaster Wandit, a relatively gentle roller coaster, creates the sensation of plunging into the sparkling illuminations.
Many other attractions offer views of the illuminations, including the next-generation go-kart attraction ev-Grand Prix and Milky Way.
Note that the Sky-Go-LAND Ferris wheel is not included in the After Pass and requires a separate 900yen ride ticket. The ev-Grand Prix is not included in any pass.

Yomiuriland also has a wide range of dining options where visitors can eat while looking out at the illuminations.
Jewelry Box Restaurant Goodday is especially recommended.
Floor-to-ceiling windows run alongside the seating area, allowing guests to dine in the warm interior while admiring the lights outside.
This season, the entire building is bathed in the new Glowing Green jewelry color and other green-hued lights, creating the impression that it is draped in luminous vines.
At the terrace seating of Starbucks Coffee Yomiuriland Goodjoba!!, visitors can admire the illuminations over a hot cup of coffee.
For couples, the terrace at Restaurant La Piscine is a good choice. Guests can enjoy a wide variety of dishes while watching the fountain shows.

Yomiuriland is also one of Tokyo's leading cherry blossom viewing spots. From mid-March to early April, approximately 1,000 cherry trees bloom throughout the park.
Because Jewellumination continues through peak cherry blossom season, visitors can see the illuminations alongside cherry blossoms at night.
The scenery differs from that of winter, making a return visit in spring worthwhile. Illuminations will not be lit on weekdays from March 1 to 12, 2027.
