K’s LABO

It is a Umi-no-Eki (sea station) where a cafe and a stone museum are also built in the same premises. The rental bicycles, most ideal for touring the islands, are provided here as well.

It is one of the gateways to Kitagi Island and a sea station, located near Toyoura Port. The indispensable items for exploring the island, rental bicycles, are available. Visit here first when you arrive at the island. (Better to reserve the rental bicycles in advance)

Inside the museum, a stone museum is also built in the same premises and you can learn about the history and culture of the stone industry on Kitagi Island also known as "Stone Island". Check out various things relating to the stones of Kitagi Island that laid Japan’s foundation in the modern era. 

There is also a stone light making workshop (1,500 yen / the required time of 15 minutes), and you can experience the uniqueness of Kitagi Island. There is also a variety shop that offers stone goods for souvenirs.

A cafe overlooking the sea is recommended for a meal before exploring the island or waiting for the boat. Except for meals, take-out is available. Get a drink and enjoy a break at your favorite place on the island.
