Renowned as Tokyo's longest shopping street, its name "Togoshi Ginza" was inspired by a desire to emulate the vibrancy of the bustling Ginza district and the historical transfer of bricks from the rubble of Ginza street after the Great Kanto Earthquake, making it the original "〇〇 Ginza" among many others across Japan.

The street, rich in downtown charm, is famous for its "Togoshi Ginza Croquettes," with several shops offering their unique versions, making it fun to compare and contrast. The street also features its original mascot, Togoshi Ginjiro (affectionately known as "Gin-chan"), who plays a vital role in enlivening the shopping district.
