This is a memorial museum for Gosho Aoyama, the original author of the popular comic "Detective Conan," which is published in 25 countries around the world. Born in Hokuei-cho, the museum displays various materials related to "Detective Conan" as well as the history of Aoyama from his childhood, university days, and career as a manga artist.

Inside the museum, you will find exhibits that tell the story of the birth of the masterpiece "Detective Conan," original Detective Conan drawings, the manga production process and the secret story behind the creation of the series.The museum store "Conan Detective Agency" offers a wide selection of rare and original souvenirs that can only be purchased here.

There is also a "Gosho Aoyama Furusato-kan Meister Certification Test," which allows visitors to enjoy touring the museum while solving quizzes. If you answer all the questions correctly, you will receive an original certificate. (The program has been suspended for the time being (as of June 2022).

JR Yura Station is also called "Conan Station" and the 1.4 km stretch to Furusato Kan is named "Conan Street''. Along the Conan Street, there is "Conan's House Beika Shopping Street," where you will find cafes, restaurants, character goods stores, and other stores associated with Conan.
