The Fish Market Street is lined with 11 large fresh fish stores on Route 402 along the Sea of Japan.
Fresh fish from the Sea of Japan and other seafood from all over Japan gather here.
The freshness of the fish and the abundance of products available always attracts customers who drive from the Tokyo metropolitan area and downtown Niigata to buy fish.

"Hamayaki" is Teradomari's specialty, grilled seasonal fish, squid, scallops, etc. on skewers over charcoal. Sitting in the sea breeze while enjoying the "Hamayaki" is a unique experience.

Teradomari is a fishing town, and at the same time, it has prospered since the Edo period as an inn town on the Hokuriku kaido road, a port town on the Nishimawari route, and a hub connecting Honshu and Sado Island.
Teradomari is also a historical town with many temples and shrines, and is called "Kamakura of the North" and "Kamakura of the Sea of Japan”.

    從日本海捕撈起來的海鮮物廉價美,每個攤位叫賣聲此起彼落,人潮也很多。
