Avo Café Okinawa

This avocado specialty café serves up shaved ice and lunch items in Yagaji Island in Nago. In addition to local patrons, it’s a popular spot sought after by tourists.

The “Avocado Spam Rice Bowl” is a hot item, topped with plenty of spam and avocado. There’s also the Avocado Zenzai, topped with a smooth, soft and sweet avocado sauce, or a number of Okinawa exclusive items like the Purple Potato Zenzai, made with Okinawan ingredients.

While the outside keeps an old kominka house-like exterior and red-tiled roof, the white walls make a striking contrast with the blue sky and greenery outside. The interior is bathed in natural light, offering a natural wood setting that’s cozy and inviting. Once inside you’ll find Okinawa-exclusive food goods available to shop, as well as options to take some zenzai or rice-based items away as takeout.
