Established in 1922, and in 1950 after the 2nd world war, Arakawa Amusement Park was reopened as an amusement park managed by Arakawa ward. It features reasonable admission fees and a variety of facilities, and has been loved as the only amusement park operated by a ward in Tokyo's 23 wards.
Following the first large-scaled renewal for 30 years completed in April, 2022, the most attractive site is Norimono-hiroba. A symbol of the park, a Ferris wheel, of which a diameter is larger than a previous one, Mt. Fuji can be seen from the gondolas on a beautiful day. An illuminated decoration is created in conjunction with newly-started night-time open. In addition, most playthings are renewed such as a roller coaster for family customers has reputation that is called “Japan’s slowest” roller coaster”, a Skycycle equipped with an electric assist function, a merry-go-round, and more.
Touching small animals and riding a pony are available in Dobutsu-hiroba, having lunch of Obento and take relaxed time in Shibafu-hiroba, a model train driving course is popular in Fureai-House in which model trains run on N-Gage arranged in Diorama, and the other many facilities are filled with. Arakawa Amusement Park amuses family customers as well as various other generations.
