Kanahebisui-jinja Shrine

Kanahebisui-jinja Shrine is a shrine that venerates the "snake" and "water". Since ancient times, it's believed to bring prosperity in business and enhance financial fortunes. This has garnered the faith of entrepreneurs and business owners alike. Often referred to as the "strongest power spot in Tohoku", it has been featured in TV shows and magazines. Every day, countless people from all over Japan come to visit.

Within the shrine grounds, the deity Benzaiten, who is believed to bestow wealth, wisdom, and improvement in arts, is enshrined. It's said that Benzaiten uses snakes as her messengers, particularly the white snake, which is considered her incarnation. There's a sacred tree with a hollow resembling a white snake, believed to bestow benefits like luck, increased financial fortunes, and business prosperity.

Surrounding the main hall are unique "snake patterned stones". These stones are believed to be infused with the divine power of the snake. Touching or stroking these stones, or even one's wallet against them, is said to boost financial luck. The omikuji (fortune-telling paper strips) and omamori (charms) sold here are also snake-themed.

Also within the shrine grounds is a massive wisteria tree called "Nine Dragons' Wisteria" that's around 300 years old. It reaches its peak bloom in May.
