This hot spring inn stands by the shores of Lake Shikotsu, known as "Japan's northernmost unfrozen lake." Located within the untouched nature of Shikotsu-Toya National Park, it offers a restful stay amidst stunning seasonal landscapes: cherry blossoms in spring, fresh greenery in summer, autumn foliage, and a winter world wrapped in pure white. It is indeed a hidden retreat for adults.

The Shikotsu Hot Springs, also known as the "beauty bath," feature a large public bath equipped with rock baths, open-air baths, reclining baths, and saunas. Additionally, there are reservable private open-air baths available for a more intimate bathing experience with family or friends (advance reservation required, additional charges apply).

The inn also offers tranquil spaces for guests to enjoy their time away from the daily grind, even within the guest rooms. These include four special rooms with private garden open-air baths, twin rooms with hot springs and theater rooms, and luxurious twin rooms with spa living spaces – all of which offer a touch of exclusivity.

Guests can savor meticulously prepared dishes made from carefully selected ingredients, primarily local, at the restaurant "Taian" or the grill "Taian." The restaurant "Taian" provides a Japanese-modern space, utilizing ancient wood and featuring an irori hearth. Here, guests can enjoy kaiseki cuisine that captures the essence of the seasons, and rice cooked in a kettle. The "Grill Taian" offers teppanyaki cooked right before your eyes, complemented by a selection of fine wines from around the world, with both counter and table seating available.

    支笏湖第一寶亭留 翠山亭是設備比較舊的日式旅館,但服務好,房間空間還算大,早餐好吃,還可以泡溫泉,所以整個住宿感覺還不錯。
