Ramen Touhichi

Newly moved and still all the rage! A ramen shop ranked Michelin Bib Gourmand for seven consecutive years.

Last update :

Touhichi, a ramen shop celebrated for its irresistibly homemade noodles and broth ranks in again and again on the Michelin Guide's Bib Gourmand list for seven consecutive years since 2017. Initially established in 2015 near the secluded areas behind Kinkakuji, it relocated in 2022 to a location with better access near Shugakuin Station. The spot is now among the ever-popular ramen hub of Ichijoji, bringing even more buzz to Touhichi since its move.

Swing on by for the delicious promise of handcrafted noodles and broth plus undeniable umami seasoning thanks to purely derived, all-natural ingredients. Taste the full noodle glory for yourself with a signature bowl of Chicken Soy Sauce Ramen, made with a broth of nothing but local chicken, water and freshly made soy sauce, all paired with Hokkaido-made straight wheat noodles. Touhichi is always dishing up new spins, making the Chicken Soy Sauce Ramen a must-try for first-time visitors.

In addition to its signature dish, there’s even a Tsukemen (dipping noodles) version featuring the same perfect pairing of chicken and soy sauce. The Chicken Paitan Ramen, limited to just ten servings for both lunch and dinner, is another intriguing bowl to try. Simple and cozy, the interior draws you in to its counter seats and two table settings. Be sure to swing by on a weekday if you want to avoid a crowd.
