Usuyaki Cafe Mamemame is one of the few places where you can try usuyaki, a type of oyaki, a local food from Shinshu. It was once eaten in the Shinshu region in place of meals or snacks, and it is still enjoyed today as home cooking.

Mamemame's usuyaki comes with three kinds of dough: 100% Nagano-grown wheat flour, dough containing 50% soba flour (sana flour) from Nagawa in Matsumoto, and 100% Nagano-grown rice flour. The fillings are generously made with grains and vegetables grown by the owner at a local farm in Nagawa, Matsumoto. Another appeal is being able to enjoy different flavors depending on the season and the day, including hanamame beans, egoma, pumpkin, and sweet potato. There are also set menus with drinks, salad, and vegetable soup.

Located near Nakamachi Street in Matsumoto City, Usuyaki Cafe Mamemame also offers takeout, making it convenient for eating while strolling around. Nearby sightseeing spots include Matsumoto Castle and the Matsumoto City Museum of Art, so it's an easy place to stop by for a light lunch or a break.
