This park is located near the summit of 234-meter-high Nagushiyama, in one corner of Saikai National Park.

Known as a famous azalea spot, from April to May a total of 100,000 azaleas, including Approx. 50,000 Kurume azaleas native to Japan and Approx. 50,000 Hirado azaleas, color the entire hill in vivid pink and red. Among the many azalea spots across Japan, the contrast of blue sea and green islands is a view unique to this place. During the best viewing season, the Azalea Festival is held, with events such as a marché and live performances.

After the blooming season, the whole slope feels a bit lonely and quiet. It’s not as dreamy as the promotional photos.
