Sushi Yukan Asahi youmemall Saijo
A conveyor-belt sushi restaurant where you can experience authentic Edo-style sushi that delights all five senses, not just your taste buds.
Located inside youmemall Saijo in Saijo-cho, Higashihiroshima City, Sushi Yukan’s new brand “Asahi” opened its second branch here, following the long-established conveyor-belt sushi brand with a proud 47-year history centered in the Chugoku region.
The restaurant features a sukiya-style exterior accented in black, while the interior exudes warmth through the use of natural wood. At the center of the conveyor lane are a live fish tank, slicing station, rice preparation area, and sushi counter, allowing guests to experience Edo-style sushi with all five senses - not just taste, but also sight, sound, and aroma.
The seating layout is another highlight, featuring a non-rotating counter known as the “Chef’s Hospitality Counter.”
During weekday lunches, guests can enjoy set menus, while omakase-style courses are offered on weekday evenings and weekends. The spacious, relaxed atmosphere makes it ideal for families and special occasions, providing a refined dining experience that feels a step away from the everyday.
When it comes to ingredients, the restaurant serves completely fresh, never-frozen bluefin tuna, and also offers “Date Maguro,” a premium bluefin tuna brand directly sourced from Ehime Prefecture. The sushi rice is made from “Asahi,” a naturally cultivated rice grown in Okayama Prefecture, and freshly cooked in-house every day. This deep commitment to quality ensures every guest can step inside with confidence and enjoy sushi at its finest.
