A great place for a walk and to relax! The park is pretty spacious, with lots of greenery, open lawn areas, walking paths, and playground equipment, so kids can have a lot of fun too.
When the weather is nice, the vibe is super chill. You can bring a drink, sit around, chat, or have a picnic. The area nearby is pretty quiet too, and it doesn’t get too crowded.
Overall, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and just clear your mind.

Takefu Central Park
A huge park inspired by the world of picture books.
The park was originally developed as the venue for the first Takefu Chrysanthemum Doll Festival, held in 1952. In recent years, it has been transformed into a huge park based on the core concept of creating a space where people of all ages can relax, play, watch, learn, and have fun, under the supervision of local-born and nationally renowned picture book author Satoshi Kako.
Daruma-chan Plaza features Izumigamori, a recreation of the town of crows from the picture book Karasu no Panya-san, along with large play equipment, fitness play equipment, and trampolines. There is also a fountain plaza for water play and a vast lawn area.
Papipuhepo Plaza is inspired by the picture books Papipupepo Ongakukai and Ninjin Batake no Papipupepo. With a play area for infants and toddlers, as well as paid attractions such as the Toy Kingdom Merry-Go-Round and Kaminari-machi Monorail, it is an ideal area for families with small children.
At Stork Plaza, inspired by the picture book Konotori no Ko-chan, visitors can enjoy a giant 21.5-meter-tall play structure and the paid Konotori no Ozora Sanpo attraction.
The park also includes "~ Issho ni Asobo ~ Kaminari-chan no Ouchi," where visitors can play on wooden playground equipment, as well as a heated pool and a multipurpose open space.
