Located in Eiheiji Town, Fukui Prefecture, this local Japanese sweets shop is known for having been founded after World War II. Centered on the local specialty confection “Habutae Mochi,” it has long been loved by both locals and tourists.

Its three signature products are “Habutae Furoshiki,” “Orifuku,” and “Habutae Mochi.” These are widely recognized as its three famous confections. “Habutae Furoshiki” comes in several flavors, including plain, kinako, dainagon, and black sesame kinako. In addition, traditional “Habutae Mochi” and “Nama Habutae Mochi” are also available. “Nama Habutae Mochi” comes in more than 15 varieties, including walnut, chocolate, strawberry, and Kintoki sweet potato. New sweets such as “Habutae Nama Mocchi Pudding” have also been introduced. The lineup appeals to a wide range of customers.

Inside the shop, there is a rest space with around 20 seats. You can relax and enjoy Japanese sweets there. The shop also has an attached factory, where visitors can observe the traditional production process. There is also a direct sales area where you can buy souvenirs. It has become one of the places that shares Fukui’s representative confectionery culture.
