Toyama’s gateway to the skies offers domestic flights to destinations such as Tokyo and Sapporo, as well as international service to Dalian and Shanghai in China. Conveniently located just Approx. 7 km south of central Toyama City, it is also accessible from JR Toyama Station in Approx. 15–20 minutes by car.

In addition to exclusive Toyama Airport souvenirs, the airport also offers a wide selection of Toyama’s famous local products and specialties. There are restaurants where you can enjoy sushi and black ramen, two local food cultures Toyama proudly presents to the world, as well as an Italian restaurant known for freshly baked pizza made with fresh seafood from Toyama Bay. From the observation deck, you can watch planes take off and land while enjoying distant views of the Tateyama Mountain Range and its majestic ridgelines.

Other highlights include a ceramic relief based on “Tateyama,” an original work by renowned Japanese female painter Tamako Kataoka, and the glass object “Infinite Distance,” inspired by Toyama’s sea that nurtures life. Also not to be missed is a promotional video for Toyama City shown on a large LCD multi-display measuring 2.1 m high by 3.7 m wide. Wi-Fi is available throughout the building.
