Fujikawa Bridge

A popular photo spot where you can capture beautiful images of Mt. Fuji, the Shinkansen, and the river.

Last update :

Fujikawa Bridge is a 1,373-meter-long bridge located between Shin-Fuji Station and Shizuoka Station on the Tokaido Shinkansen line. It spans the Fujikawa River, a first-class river that runs along the western side of Mt. Fuji and flows into Suruga Bay, and is famous as a scenic spot with spectacular views of Mt. Fuji.

Photos and videos of the Shinkansen crossing the bridge with majestic Mt. Fuji in the background, a scene well known overseas as uniquely Japanese, make a striking impression. From November to April, Mt. Fuji is beautifully snow-capped, drawing many visitors. The classic photo spot is on the left bank of the river, where both Mt. Fuji and the bridge fit nicely into the frame. The most popular location is about 100 meters south downstream from the bridge, where you can get close to the river to highlight the splashing water surface or shoot from a slightly farther distance for a wider composition.

It is easy to access no matter how you travel, located Approx. 7 minutes by car from the Fuji River Smart IC on the Tomei Expressway and Approx. 20 minutes on foot from JR Fujikawa Station. Fujikawa Kasenjiki Ikoi no Hiroba has a baseball field, a soccer field, and other facilities, and also offers parking, making it a convenient place to use when visiting by car.
