Located inside the Kurodake Ropeway Sanroku Station in Daisetsuzan National Park, one of Japan’s largest national parks in the mountainous heart of Hokkaido, this cafe also features Columbia’s first “Columbia Field Store Kurodake Ropeway Store,” letting you enjoy both the shop and cafe in one stop.

The cafe serves mainly coffee and other drinks, making it easy to stop by before or after riding the Kurodake Ropeway or while exploring the Sounkyo area. There are also takeout items such as drinks and baked sweets, so it is convenient for a break during your walk. The attached Columbia Field Store offers outdoor wear and related items, with a lineup suited to activities in the mountain area.

Another great point is that you can use both the cafe and shop together inside the ropeway base station, one of the gateways to Sounkyo, Mt. Kurodake, and mountain climbing areas. It is a place you will want to stop by when visiting the Daisetsuzan and Kurodake area.
