BRANCH Otsukyo

A vast large-scale commercial complex built on the former Otsu Biwako Keirin Velodrome site. Based on the concept of a commercial facility in a park, it goes beyond a typical shopping mall with retail shops and dining, along with hands-on facilities and community spaces that foster local connections, plus a free play area where children can play freely.

The shopping area brings together Approx. 40 diverse stores, including popular apparel, variety goods, daily necessities, and interior items. There is also a restaurant area that is easy for families with children to use, making it a place where you can enjoy spending the whole day.

Outdoors, you will find Mannmaru Hiroba, with playground equipment for young children, and Dekoboko Hiroba, where you can relax at your own pace. At Biwakko Hiroba, where a fountain show is held daily (*not available from November to February), visitors can also play in the water during the hotter months. It is also next to Branch Park (Omi Jingu Gaien Park), which has lawns and sports areas, so you can spend time here at a leisurely pace while enjoying the changing seasons. This large park-based facility blends four themes, community, health, education, and business, making it a place where families, couples, and friends can all enjoy a full day out.
