Niodo Park

Watched over by a Karasu Tengu, this is a park where nature quietly surrounds you.

Last update :

A lawn-covered park at the foot of Mt. Daisen, the highest peak in the Chugoku region. Surrounded by vast nature as far as the eye can see, it offers sweeping views of majestic mountain ridges and even the Sea of Japan in the distance.

One highlight is the massive 10.9-meter-long Karasu Tengu Statue. The Karasu Tengu is a legendary creature that has been passed down in Daisen Town since long ago, said to soar high through the sky, cherish the blessings and kindness of Mt. Daisen, and hold a strong desire to spread its wings toward the future.

Created to honor that legend and completed in 1997 as the park’s symbol, this statue has become a classic photo spot and has drawn many visitors ever since.

Other popular attractions include wooden playground equipment for children and ground golf, which even beginners can join casually.
