Held on the fourth Saturday of July every year, this fireworks festival lights up Hiroshima’s summer night sky. Set against the backdrop of the Seto Inland Sea, Approx. 10,000 fireworks are launched under the theme of dreams.

The show features a wide variety of fireworks, including marine starmines whose colorful lights reflect on the water, musical fireworks perfectly synchronized with melodies, and shaped fireworks such as hearts and smiles floating in the night sky. Among them, the 10-inch shell fireworks presented by famous fireworks artisans from across Japan, known as masters of the craft, are a must-see. From start to the grand finale, the fantastic and spectacular program is sure to captivate every viewer.

This popular event typically attracts at least 400,000 spectators each year. To watch from the venue set up at the Hiroshima Port 10,000-Ton Wharf and the lawn area of Ujina Hatoba Park, a paid reserved seating ticket through advance individual sponsorship is required. On the day of the event, additional train services will operate to the nearest station, and paid shuttle buses will also run from Hiroshima Station.
