Nishikido's Hiroshima New Specialty Nama Momiji
A new take on Hiroshima's signature Momiji Manju, featuring a fresh texture.
Hiroshima New Specialty Nama Momiji was created to offer a new way to experience Nishikido's signature Momiji Manju, one of Hiroshima's best-known confections. Developed over approximately 10 years based on customer feedback, its greatest appeal is its chewy, moist texture, created by a dough made with rice flour from Hiroshima Prefecture.
The filling features carefully selected ingredients, including azuki beans from Hokkaido, for an elegant, rich flavor. Three varieties are available, each with its own distinct flavor: smooth red bean paste with a subtle yuzu aroma, chunky red bean paste accented by large azuki beans, and matcha bean paste made with Uji matcha.
Its uncompromising quality, from the selection of ingredients to the production methods, has earned widespread recognition and numerous honors, including certification as a “The Hiroshima Brand” product and grand prizes at the NIPPON OMIYAGE AWARD and Japan Food Selection.
Preserving the appeal of traditional Momiji Manju while exploring new textures and flavors, it is highly popular as a confection that embodies Hiroshima.
