Shiraraso Grand Hotel

This hotel has more than 90 years of history and stands at Shirahama Onsen, one of Japan's three oldest hot springs. Since opening in 1929, it has welcomed members of the Imperial Family, cultural figures, and celebrities. Its greatest appeal is its exceptional oceanfront location, just a 30-second walk from Shirarahama Beach, a white-sand beach stretching about 620 m.

The natural hot spring water, known as Suzushiyu, is said to retain warmth and moisturize the skin. The panoramic Shiosai open-air bath overlooks Shirarahama Beach, offering an open setting where the sea and sky seem to merge. The Matsukaze bath features an open-air bath close to the sea and a stone-built semi-open-air bath, where guests can soak while listening to the soothing sound of gentle waves. A private free-flowing hot spring bath is also available exclusively to overnight guests, allowing families and friends to relax together.

Guest rooms include the Royal Floor on the top floor, with sweeping, unobstructed views. The Standard Floor offers comfortable, functional ocean-view rooms as well as mountain-side rooms ideal for business travelers. Connecting rooms that can be fully separated into two rooms and panda-themed concept rooms are also available, providing options for a range of needs.

Dinner centers on kaiseki cuisine featuring fresh seafood nurtured by the Kuroshio Current off Kishu and other local ingredients. For breakfast, guests can choose between a Japanese set meal and a Japanese-Western buffet.
