Wakayama Marina City Hotel

This resort hotel is located in Wakayama Marina City, an artificial island in Wakaura Bay. Its waterfront location overlooks a yacht harbor and is adjacent to attractions such as Porto Europa and Kuroshio Market. Its striking yellow exterior stands out against the blue sea, while the surrounding facilities create an international resort atmosphere.

Every guest room offers an ocean view, allowing guests to relax in privacy while watching the sun set over the horizon. Five room types are available, ranging from standard rooms to suites. Four of the five types—all except the standard rooms—feature ocean-view baths. Guests can spend a luxurious time soaking in the bath while gazing out at the sea, an experience distinctive to a waterfront resort hotel. Complimentary access to the adjacent Kishu Kuroshio Onsen is also included.

Breakfast is served buffet-style, with around 50 Japanese and Western dishes. Local specialties include kama-age shirasu, Wakayama ramen, and tuna rice bowls. There is also an umeboshi corner offering several varieties of pickled plums, mainly Kishu Nanko-ume, and a soy sauce bar featuring selections from breweries in the Yuasa area. Guests can sample plenty of local flavors, including 100% pure mandarin orange juice and plum juice.
