Surrounded by the calm waters of Wakasa Bay and lush mountains, this inn offers an intimate look at Wakasa’s culinary culture, history, and local character. The former ryokan has been renovated into 13 guest rooms across three distinctive buildings: the Main Building, Annex, and Private Villas.

The Main Building and Annex retain their historic architecture while offering modern comforts. The suite villas create an extraordinary setting with panoramic views of Wakasa Bay and distinctive bathrooms.

Dinner features dishes made with local seasonal ingredients, including Wakasa guji tilefish, which has been presented to the imperial capital since ancient times, and Wakasa fugu pufferfish, raised in Japan’s northernmost aquaculture region.
