Peko-chan

Peko-chan appears on the packaging of Milky, a longtime favorite among Fujiya’s candies. She is forever six, and her name is a Western-style adaptation of beko, an affectionate Japanese term for a calf. She loves sweets and helps spread the word about Fujiya’s treats.

Peko-chan has long been loved as a symbol of the Fujiya brand. The Peko-chan dolls displayed outside Fujiya cake stores are a familiar symbol of the shops.

Peko-chan’s companions include her boyfriend, Poko-chan, and a puppy named Dog. In 2026, new characters debuted as part of “Peko-chan, Poko-chan, and Their Fun Friends.” With Peko-chan at its heart, this colorful group of friends creates a world that is uniquely Fujiya’s.
