Tons of Exciting Attractions! A Storybook World Unfolds in This Theme Park.
MOOMINVALLEY PARK is a theme park that takes you through the world of Moomin, making great use of the beautiful nature in Hanno. This is the first Moomin park outside of Finland, the home country of the series’ original author.
The park is divided into 4 areas: “Welcome Cove,” “Moominvalley,” “Kokemus,” and “Lonely Mountain.” There are also experience facilities, cafés, shops, and exhibitions dotted about.
All of the facilities are packed with clever ideas and devices that can not only be enjoyed by Moomin fans, but also by those who don’t know the story in detail. The diorama in Kokemus is a must-see, standing over 8 meters tall. Be sure to also take a look at the performances, which change every 15 minutes!
The park’s site covers about 70,000㎡, so don’t forget to stop for a break at one of the restaurants or cafés as you walk around! Be sure not to miss the photogenic dishes with their storybook motifs.
There are many Moomin-related goods available at the park’s shop, including lots of original items that can’t be found anywhere else! Stop by and pick up some commemorative items before you go home.
Take commemorative photos with your friends in Moominvalley at the photo studio.
Live performances by Moomins are held at “Emma’s Theater” 3 times a day.
Make your own accessories and leather crafts related to the series at the workshop.
Certain paid facilities require a “reservation ticket,” which are distributed in front of each facility.
