All Reviews of Mt. Omuro

Taking the Mt. Omuro chairlift was a very special experience on this trip. As the chairlift takes you up to the summit, you can enjoy the green grass covering the slopes and the surrounding natural scenery. I heard that you can see Mt. Fuji when the weather is good, but unfortunately, the weather was bad during this visit, and Mt. Fuji was hidden behind the clouds. I guess leaving with a small regret is also a good excuse to come back someday!

Mt. Omuro on the Izu Peninsula looks like an upside-down bowl. I think “Matcha Mountain” would also be a fitting name! It’s such a unique place.

You can take the chairlift to the summit and back for JPY 1,000 per adult. At the top, there’s a walking trail that circles the mountain. Our guide said you can see Mt. Fuji when the weather is clear, but unfortunately, it got foggy after we reached the top.

There are also some delicious dango near the chairlift at the summit, so give them a try! For me, this place gets a 98 out of 100—I loved it!

The cable car ride up was exciting, and the 360-degree panoramic view from the top is absolutely breathtaking.

This mountain is a symbol of Ito, with its smooth, treeless silhouette that's pretty unique.
The view from the top is beautiful. Dogs can ride the lift too, so it's a nice spot to visit if you're traveling with your pet.
The summit is shaped like a mortar, and you can even try archery there. Every year they do a controlled burn, and if you time it right, you can see Mt. Omuro surrounded by flames.

The weather along the way was cool and comfortable. The view from the top is fantastic—absolutely stunning scenery.

The view from the top is super wide and open. The distant coastline looks beautiful. The trail around the summit is about 1,000 meters and not steep at all, so it's really easy to walk.

The view from the top is absolutely beautiful—you can see the vast Pacific Ocean. The only way up and down is by cable car. One of my friends is afraid of heights, so they just waited for us in the shop.

This mountain isn't very high, but it's really windy and cold at the top after taking the cable car up.

Mt. Omuro is located on the Izu Peninsula and stands only 580 meters tall. Its shape is really unique—like an upside-down bowl! You can take a cable car to the top, where there's a walking path. On clear days, you can even see Mt. Fuji. There's also an archery range inside the crater, but I'm not sure what it's for.

It's a beautiful place, but honestly, once you're up there, there's not much to do...
