From the Kyoto Tower observation deck, you can take in panoramic views of the entire city. The distant mountains and the historic cityscape complement each other, creating a truly captivating view. During the day, you can enjoy the city scenery, while at night, the dazzling lights reveal a different charm.

When arriving in Kyoto, many people are immediately drawn to the tall Kyoto Tower rising before them as soon as they step out of Kyoto Station. It's as if it's greeting travelers, becoming their first impression of a trip to Kyoto.

This time, I didn't go up Kyoto Tower. Instead, I chose to look out from the rooftop of the Kyoto Station Building, and the view was surprisingly great! In the daytime sunlight, Kyoto Tower stood out against the cityscape. With the distant mountains and orderly streets, you can feel Kyoto's unique tranquility and historic capital atmosphere.

Every time I come to Kyoto and see Kyoto Tower, it gives me such a familiar feeling, as if it’s saying to every traveler, “Welcome back!”

Seeing the tower from a distance brings back memories of past trips. It’s even more charming when it’s lit up at night. The warm yellow lights against Kyoto’s night view add a romantic and peaceful touch.

Kyoto Tower is right across from Kyoto Station. Travelers arriving in Kyoto will see it first. Its modern look may not seem to match the ancient capital, but its convenient location and striking appearance make it impossible to ignore.

Kyoto Station is a place every traveler to Kyoto should visit or at least pass through. I recommend adding this to your itinerary and stopping by in the evening to look around!

Compared to all the historic sites in Kyoto, this place really doesn’t feel “Kyoto” at all.

Looks pretty ordinary during the day, but it’s a bit easier on the eyes once it’s lit up at night.

Kyoto Tower really stands out—you can see it from pretty much anywhere. It's totally the city's landmark.

You can use the telescopes at the observation deck for free.

You can spot it right after stepping out of Kyoto Station, so it's not hard to find at all. The space at the top of the tower is pretty small, so you probably won't spend much time up there.

The city looks absolutely beautiful when you view it from Kyoto Tower at night.
