Manzamo is one of Okinawa's most iconic scenic spots. Its name comes from King Sho Kei of the Ryukyu Kingdom, who praised it in the 18th century as “a field (mo) spacious enough to seat ten thousand people.” It is famous for its iconic natural elephant trunk-shaped coral cliff and magnificent ocean views.

A highlight is the capsule toy machines inside the building, where you can get unique handmade ceramic capsule toys with a local touch. If you have an Okinawa FunPASS, you can also stop by the restaurant on the second floor to redeem a refreshing drink—enjoy the view and relax all at once!

Standing at the edge of the cliffs at Manzamo, the wind was so strong that I had to raise my voice just to talk. I looked at the rock shaped like an elephant’s trunk and thought: It’s so beautiful.

The color of the ocean looked unreal—deep blue, light blue, and white waves crashing against the rocks again and again with a roaring sound. It felt like all my worries were being blown away by the wind.

When you quiet your mind and look out at the endless ocean and sky, you can’t help but be moved by the magnificent scenery. Maybe this is what travel is all about—finding inner peace amid beautiful scenery.

Manzamo is a very famous natural attraction in Okinawa. Its most well-known feature is the massive coral reef rock formation that extends out over the sea like an elephant's trunk. Looking down from the cliff, you can see the endless deep-blue ocean, and the view is truly spectacular.

Visiting Manzamo in person this time, the sea breeze felt very pleasant. Standing high above and taking in the view of the sea and sky blending together made me feel completely relaxed.

Manzamo is definitely a must-visit spot in Okinawa! Standing in front of the elephant trunk-shaped rock and watching the waves crash against the cliffs, the endless blue of the sea and sky makes you want to stop and linger for a while.

The scenery changes depending on the time of day. On sunny days, the ocean is as blue as a gemstone, and in the evening it takes on a romantic feel. Every quick photo looks like a postcard. It’s so beautiful you won’t want to leave.

This spot had deeply attracted me ever since I saw it in a Korean drama, and I always told myself that one day I had to come see it in person.

When I finally got here, the view was even more charming than I imagined: a bright blue sky dotted with white clouds, the deep blue ocean stretching all the way to the horizon, and Manzamo’s uniquely Okinawan scenery made the whole place feel incredibly refreshing. If you’re visiting Okinawa, I definitely recommend stopping by!

I went this winter and found out you can even watch whales here! There’s a food court on the second floor and a gift shop on the first, so if you get tired of walking around, it’s nice to head indoors.

In winter, you don’t have to worry about the strong wind, and in summer, the air conditioning is great! Parking is convenient, and the facilities were renovated in the past two years, so everything feels very user-friendly and convenient.

Having coffee on the second-floor observation deck, you can’t help but hope to spot a humpback whale! Besides seeing the natural rock formations, it’s a fun little surprise. The second-floor deck is definitely worth checking out in winter too 👀... Hope you get a chance to see whales or dolphins show up ~
