Q&A

What's the top recommended place to visit in Japan?

Iyo-Hojo in Ehime Prefecture. It's a place where you can quietly gaze at the Seto Inland Sea and catch glimpses of Japan from yesteryears. Highly recommended for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of urban life and purify both body and soul.

Where and what was the most enjoyable event during your travels in Japan?

During a sake brewery tour in the Minakami and Kawaba village areas of Gunma Prefecture, I was given a tasting of a rare vintage Japanese sake. I was amazed by its amber color and taste which seemed reminiscent of whiskey.

What do you definitely recommend people to do when they visit Japan?

While this isn't exclusive to Japan, I would urge visitors to taste the local sake and gourmet dishes in the specific climate and atmosphere of that region! Foods and drinks produced in a particular place always taste best when consumed there.
