Shikano Castle Ruins Park
A park created on the site of Shikano Castle, built Approx. 400 years ago. Although the castle keep and other buildings were lost to fire, remains such as the inner moat, outer moat, and stone walls still survive, preserving the atmosphere of the time.
It wasn’t crowded, and the pace felt nice and slow. It seemed more like a place where locals come for a walk. The moat and stone walls are also pretty well preserved.
Kushida Shrine
This head shrine is said to have been built in the 8th century. Residents in Hakata call it “Okushida san.” Hakata Gion Yamakasa festival declares the arrival of summer to the City of Hakata in July, and is dedicated to this shrine.
You don't need a ticket to visit, so you can just stop by if you're passing through. Really nice~
Dogo Onsen Hanayuzuki
A hot spring ryokan just a short walk from Dogo Onsen Honkan, one of Dogo Onsen’s top attractions. Enjoy Dogo’s famous waters, said to be among Japan’s oldest, in a spacious public bath that can accommodate around 100 guests, plus a scenic open-air bath with both hot and warm pools so you can choose your perfect temperature.
Awesome location—you can walk to Dogo Onsen Honkan and the shopping street!
Tsutenkaku Tower
A steel tower which looks like the Eiffel Tower and 75 meters high was built In 1912, on top of a building which was the motif of the Arc de Triomphe, and named “Tsutenkaku” meaning “A building reaching the heaven'' by Nangaku Fujisawa, a Confucian in the early Meiji period. After being broken down due to a fire, citizens lobbied for rebuilding and the current 2nd Tsutenkaku was built in 1956.
The inside of Tsutenkaku Tower has a cool retro vibe. There are displays about Osaka's history and culture, plus lots of interesting stories about the tower itself.
Mt. Takagi Observatory
The Mt. Takagi Observatory, located about 10 minutes up a mountain path from the World Heritage Site Yoshino Mikumari Shrine in the Okusenbon area of Mount Yoshino, the highest elevation in Yoshino, offers a panoramic view of Mount Yoshino and the nearby peaks of Mount Kongō and Mount Katsuragi. Known historically as the site where Prince Moriyoshi based his operations during the Battle of Genko against the Kamakura shogunate, this spot captivates hikers and tourists alike.
The observatory's facilities are really well maintained, making it a super comfortable place to enjoy the view.
Abeno Harukas
Opened in 2014, the 300-meter-high skyscraper is a mix-use complex building. From the two basement floors to the 14th level you’ll find Kintetsu Department Store (Main Store Abeno Harukas) and the Abeno Harukas Dining restaurant floors.
You can have coffee at the observation deck, and there are lots of great spots for photos. Once you're in, there's no time limit, so you can stay as long as you like.
Nakaza Cui-daore Bldg.
Located in Dotonbori, Osaka's busy downtown, this building is like a condensed version of "Osaka, the city of gourmets," filled with delicious food. In addition to the typical Osaka gourmet food such as kushikatsu (deep-fried skewered meat and vegetables) and reasonably priced izakaya (Japanese style pubs), there are also a number of restaurants that offer sweets, sushi, all-you-can-eat crab, and other food selections.
Everything is packaged so cutely! The pudding is a must-try. If you spend over JPY 5,000, you can even get a tax refund.
Oasis 21
The Oasis 21 is famous for its symbolic glass roof, also known as the “Spaceship-Aqua ”. The facility has a bus terminal and is also connected to the subway and the Meitetsu line .Located within the heart of Nagoya city, the facility is known to be a photogenic location due to the illuminations lighting up the skyline.

Roller Coaster Road
In Furano, Hokkaido where hardly any houses are seen, there is a rolling road that suddenly falls down and sharply goes up like a roller coaster.
This 4-kilometer straight road has huge ups and downs, just like riding a roller coaster. From a distance, you can barely see the end.
